7 Days of Stoke: Rotation and Core
Want to throw spray? Make sure you can generate force when you rotate. Not only is a strong core necessary for surfing, but it’s also necessary for LIFE! Having a strong core reduces your risk of injury in simple tasks such as picking up semi-heavy objects. It also helps you walk taller and with pride, which is one of my “INS” for 2024.
I’m going to show you how to set up a landmine in your gym if you don’t have a fixture but most gyms do nowadays. If you can’t do that, slow and controlled Russian twists with a dumbbell is a great substitute. You can also use a heavier dumbbell for a goblet hold cossack squat. Hold one head of the dumbbell at your chest and perform the cossack squat as shown.
