Why You Should Start Before January

New Year resolutions are great but if I’m honest, I’m not a fan. I believe you can start working on your goals any day, any time. Here are three reasons why you should start working on your health and fitness goals before January.

  1. It’s more meaningful. Instead of your goals just being something you arbitrarily make up on January 1, you can take time to understand why your goals are meaningful to you. If they aren’t meaningful, you’re far less likely to stick to them. Take time to figure out why you want to achieve your goals and write it out. Putting pen to paper solidifies it!

  2. It’s a habit. By the time people are forcing themselves out of bed to get to the gym or scrolling for healthy recipes, you’ll have had time under your belt! You’ll be a pro at going to bed on time, laying your gym clothes out the night before, and eating foods that are fueling your body.

  3. January 1 is just another day. Aside from it being the first day of a new year, it’s just a day. You don’t need an excuse to begin, you just need to be bold! You can do it. If you’re reading this blog post, you’re already taking baby steps toward the healthy life you want to live.

What actions will you take today to get a head start on your 2024 intentions? Write them down, make them visible, and get to crushing them.
