Shore Things: Easy Snack Ideas for When You’re Busy

Few things can be called sure things but these snack combinations are shore (see what I did there?) to make you feel satisfied!

When we’re looking for a snack, look in the mirror. Terrible joke aside, we want to have a balance of carbs, fats, and carbs that ideally have some fiber in them like whole grains, fruit, and veggies. Other snack options include:

  • 1/2 a sandwich: 1 slice of bread (sourdough, pumpernickel, or whole wheat) + 3-4 ounces of protein + 30-50g avocado or fat of choice + veggies for fiber

  • 3 ounces of carrots + 1 ounce of hummus + 1 ounce protein of choice

  • 1 protein bar + 3 ounces of berries or carrots

  • 1 honey pistachio frozen yogurt bar
